Obama tinuligsa pamamaril sa Trump gala dinner

Nanawagan si dating United States President Barack Obama sa mga Amerikano na tuligsain ang karahasan kasunod ng insidente ng pamamaril sa isang press gala dinner na dinaluhan ni US President Donald Trump.
“Although we don’t yet have the details about the motives behind last night’s shooting at the White House Correspondents Dinner, it’s incumbent upon all us to reject the idea that violence has any place in our democracy,” ani Obama sa isang post sa X.
“It’s also a sobering reminder of the courage and sacrifice that U.S. Secret Service Agents show every day. I’m grateful to them – and thankful that the agent who was shot is going to be okay,” dagdag pa niya.
Matatandaang nangyari ang pamamaril sa White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner na dinaluhan nina Trump, First Lady Melania Trump, at iba pang matataas na opisyal ng gobyerno.
Ayon sa ulat, isang suspek na armado ng shotgun ang agad na naaresto sa insidente. Isang Secret Service agent ang tinamaan ngunit nakaligtas dahil sa suot nitong protective gear.
