Staff ng Senado work-from-home sa banta sa seguridad

Ipinag-utos ni Senador Sherwin Gatchalian nitong Martes, Hunyo 9, ang work-from-home arrangement para sa mga empleyado ng Senado simula ngayong araw, Hunyo 10 hanggang bukas, Hunyo 11, 2026 dahil sa umano’y banta sa seguridad.
Sa abiso, pinayagan ni Gatchalian ang remote work para sa mga tauhan ng Senado upang masiguro ang kaligtasan at seguridad, at magbigay-daan naman sa National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) na magsagawa ng kaukulang security assessments, inspections, at iba pang precautionary measures sa Mataas na Kapulungan.
“The safety and security of all Senate personnel remain a foremost priority as the concerned authorities undertake the appropriate security protocols within the Senate premises,” saad sa abiso.
“Heads of offices shall ensure the continuity of operations through appropriate remote work arrangements. If and when necessary, for the performance of security, safety, maintenance, and other essential functions, heads of offices may require on-site attendance of personnel,” dagdag pa.
Ang mga pangalan naman ng mga tauhan na obligadong pumasok nang pisikal ay inatasang ipasa sa Office of the Sergeant-at-Arms (OSAA).
Bago nito ay sinabi ng mga senador na nakatanggap sila ng impormasyon kaugnay sa umano’y security threats.
“The security and safety of all senators and all Senate employees is paramount. We will make sure that our work environment is safe and secure,” sinabi ni Gatchalian.
