Pahaging ni Catriona: ‘Leaders are elected to serve the people — not to be worshipped!’

Tila may patutsada si Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray sa mga taong sumasamba sa mga opisyal na hinalal para mamuno.
Sa isang Instagram story ni Catriona nitong Sabado, Mayo 16, ibinahagi niya ang isang post na nagpapaalala na naglilingkod sa tao ang mga ibinotong lider.
“Leaders are elected to serve the people — not to be worshipped blindly defended, or treated as if they are above criticism,” saad sa post.
Dagdag pa rito, “Some people have reached a point where every question feels like an attack, every criticism feels like disrespect, and every call for accountability is immediately treated as betrayal.”
Ngunit hindi raw pagtatanong ang problema.
“People are allowed to ask why promises remain promises,” sabi sa post. “People are allowed to question decisions that affect millions. People are allowed to demand explanations from leaders whose actions shape the daily lives of ordinary citizens.”
Matatandaang isa si Catriona sa mga celebrity na bumoboses pagdating sa mga isyung panlipunan. Sa katunayan, dumadalo pa nga siya sa mga kilos-protesta para manawagan na wakasan ang korupsiyon  at dinastiya sa politika.
