Hindi bahagi ng rekomendasyon ng Second Congressional Commission on Education (EDCOM 2) ang three-term school calendar ng Department of Education (DepEd), ayon kay House Committee on Basic Education and Culture at Pasig City Rep. Roman Romulo.
But based on the study of EDCOM 2, lumalabas na nahihirapan tayong umabot dun sa minimum na 180 academic calendar days that the student is actually inside the classroom,” ani Romulo.
“All Secretaries have come up with department order saying na basta wag na bumaba ng 180… ang importante is that all students are in the classroom and there is a teacher, teaching the lesson plan, and that is what we want,” dagdag niya.
