Namumuro umanong maupo bilang bagong Justice secretary si dating Interior and Local Government Secretary Benhur Abalos.
Ito ay matapos ihayag ni veteran columnist Ramon “Mon” Tulfo sa isang Facebook post nitong Martes na posibleng manumpa si Abalos sa naturang posisyon sa mga susunod na araw.
“Benhur Abalos is taking his oath as the next justice secretary in the next few days, says my tweety bird,” ani Tulfo.
“Abalos resigned as DILG Secretary and ran for a Senate seat in the last election. He lost. The Senate’s loss is DOJ’s gain,” dagdag pa niya.
Matatandaang tumakbo si Abalos sa pagkasenador noong 2025 elections nguni’t nagtapos lamang sa ika-16 na puwesto matapos makakuha ng mahigit 11.5 milyong boto.
